Real-time lessons, a broad core curriculum and a wide choice of extra-curricular learnings.
The classrooms at Brainfield School mirror those of any physical schools, with scheduled timetables for each class. Each 40-minute session is meticulously structured, beginning with an assessment of students’ prior knowledge. This is followed by a warm-up activity or an engaging introduction to the topic. Teachers then deliver well-planned instruction, incorporating written tasks, interactive activities, and more.
At the end of each class, recaps are conducted to ensure students fully grasp the lesson. The structured environment also provides ample opportunities for student interaction, allowing them to ask questions and engage with the material. Importantly, the classes are designed to be free from disruptions and distractions, as the teachers are adept at keeping students engaged throughout.
During the lesson, students communicate with the teacher and each other through a wide variety of medium. Voice, text, whiteboard, notes, recordings, presentations, screen sharing and co-web browsing are just a few options. Individual students can be asked to work through specific examples, share their work or lead the class. By giving every student the opportunity to directly and privately message the teacher it means that no question is ever left unspoken or unanswered
Each course provides access to the entire subject curriculum; this is available to access at anytime from anywhere. Subject materials can help students track down exactly what they need. It is a fantastic resource to support students to consolidate their learning, master tricky concepts and prepare for examinations.
Students have their own personal school hub from which to access every part of the school: the learning area, live classes, course resources, club, societies, the common rooms, social media area timetable or school homework. personal feedback from teachers keep them constantly up to date with upcoming assignment deadlines, homework feedback and overall performance. Parents too kept up to date with their child’s /children progress, and can contact staff during school hours.
